Smith's Gypsy Cobs

Smith's Gypsy Cobs are based at Alexandra, in the foothills of Victoria's high country. 

Together it is run by our two families, both of us Smith's,  hence the stud's name..... 

Our beautiful Gypsy Cob Stallion "The Journeyman" arrived in Australia December 2007 and has since become a much loved part of our family.

With his laid back nature and stunning looks, features so true of the gypsy breed, it is both an honour and a pleasure to be around this gentleman.

Since then the dream has become more of a reality (and an obsession) and we have been fortunate enough to add a few pure mares to our mix.  Welcoming Glenbogyl Park Gypsy Rose and Clononeen Sage (& now her filly Page).

As with the gypsy people - family and horses are our life.

We believe in staying true to the things that are real and dear to us,

our families, our country and our horses.

Our dream of breeding and raising fantastic Gypsy Cobs and Gypsy cross horses and ponies has now become a reality... as could yours.

We are very fortunate to live in a part of the country where natural beauty is abundant.

But it all fades into the distance when in the company of such magnificent, gentle, noble creatures as the gypsy cobs.

With our small herd of much loved mares we aim to breed a variety of attractive, versatile, sensible horses ideal for the whole family.

Like all good things, they are better shared so their true worth can be seen by the smile on their owner's faces and the joy in their hearts.

Because of our belief in these fabulous horses we aim to breed and offer a superb selection of pure and part-bred Gypsy Cob  foals for others to enjoy.
